This work is based on the fragments from an old porcelain which contains floral patterns and explores themes of migration, exoticism and decolonisation. Most of these plants may not have been native to Britain, but with transnational trade and colonisation they entered the British landscape and artistic tradition. In colonial times, Kew Gardens sent plant hunters around the world to collect plants and then used the relevant research findings to help the government with their colonial practises. Inspired by Kew, I have created a digital garden by placing some digital plants in it which are the CGI visualisation of the floral patterns on the fragments.
